This is Wichita was a weekly program that ran on radio station KFH (Kansas' Finest Hotel) in Wichita, Kansas from October 20, 1940 to December 4, 1941. The program dramatized stories from pioneer days as they appeared in The Wichita Eagle. KFH was known as "The Voice of The Wichita Eagle". Program host switched between Vernon Reed and Hal Norman. The program originally aired on Sunday nights but was moved to Thursday on October 30, 1941. The shows were digitized off the original glass records at the Harold B. Lee Library at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. All disks were cleaned with a solution of distilled water and ammonia prior to playing. Additional editing, removal of pops, skips and scratches, (as much as possible) was done using Adobe Audition.
